Get-Paid-To Programs

Get-Paid-To Programs

Get-Paid-To programs, more commonly referred to as GPT Programs, are websites in which the user performs some kind of action and receives money for doing so. I say action instead of service because in GPT programs you usually just do mindless activity for money instead of actual work, but there are some GPT programs that actually do require you to use your mind. There are several types of GPT programs, each of which will be explained thoroughly in this article.

One of the most popular types of GPT programs are Paid To Click (PTC) programs, occasionally known as Paid To View. PTC programs involve the user clicking on an ad, viewing it for a certain amount of time, and then getting credited for viewing the ad. Sometimes PTC programs require you to enter a code after viewing an ad for verification that it is a person looking and not a computer solely doing the work, and the term "work" is used loosely. Usually, it takes months to get paid on a PTC site, because the administrators usually set the minimum payout quite high. Sometimes, even $5 is a hard level to reach, because the ads on a PTC site most often pay less than a cent, usually a quarter of a cent or a half cent. So, PTC sites are very hard to make money with, unless you have referrals, which I will talk about later.

The program most related to a PTC programs is a Paid To Read (PTR) program, which is much like a PTC. The main difference between a PTC and a PTR is that you receive ads in your e-mail. If you don't want your e-mail cluttered with more spam, most PTRs also give you a site inbox, and you can select only to have mail delivered to you there. Also, when signing up, you are given a checklist to select what kinds of ads you want delivered to you. If you are interested in making money and not reading ads, then it is wise to select all of them so you get the most possible mail. Like PTCs, each mail is worth very little and it takes a long time or a lot of referrals to get paid.

A type of program that is essentially dead is a program called Paid To Search (PTS). In this kind of program, there is a search bar, and you are paid for each search you make. However, because this kind of program is highly unregulated, all of them are doomed to fail. One of the most popular GPT programs of all time was something called NetBux, a program that paid you 2 cents per search and allowed up to 40 searches per day. Plus, they paid you 100% of what your referrals made, which only sweetened the deal. It claimed over 300,000 people, possibly more, and the owner, Chad French, made thousands of dollars by selling referrals to people. Unfortuanately for the hundreds of thousands of people that joined, Netbux closed down, with only a couple people ever receiving payment.

Paid To Promote (PTP) programs are very popular now, and it is easy to find one online. The structure behind PTP programs is that users make money by promoting their own special link, and they get paid either points or money for each person that sees their link. As you can imagine, the payment for each hit is extremely low, for example, $0.0005 or $0.002. However, if someone has a website with lots of visitors and puts a link on their site, they could in theory make lots of money. But then again, if someone had an extremely large site, they wouldn't be wasting their ad space on second-rate GPT programs. So, for the average Joe, it usually takes a lot of time or a lot of referrals to make any good money.

There are several Paid To Post forums on the Internet, probably the most popular being CashPosting.com, which pays its users 3 cents per post. Other smaller sites usually pay 2 cents per post, or even 1 cent per post. Some have started out paying 5 or 7 cents, but those usually have to lower their rates, increase payout, or close down. Paid To Post is very self-explanatory and therefore doesn't need much explanation.

A once underrated form of GPT programs, now probably the most popular, are Get Paid To Complete Offers (GPTCO) programs. These programs involve users completing surveys, trying out services, ordering products, and signing up for random things, and getting paid for it. This is most certainly the most lucrative form of the GPT industry, and even without referrals, it is easy to make thousands of dollars with. The most popular GPTCO company is TreasureTrooper, with over 70,000 members and has paid out hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Referrals are one of the key components of any GPT Program. After signing up for a GPT Program, you usually receive a referral link, which you post on forums or give to your friends, and if they sign up under that link, they become your referral. Most GPT Programs give you a share of what your referrals make, like on TreasureTrooper, if a referral makes $100, you get $20 (you get 20% of what your referrals make). Some GPT Programs, however, give you a flat rate, say, $1 per referral. Lots of GPT Programs have multiple levels, as in you earn what your referrals' referrals make. Some go as deep as 5 levels, but those are usually pyramid schemes, all of which are scams.

GPT Programs can be a good way to make extra money, if you know what you're doing. If you are actually serious about making money with a GPT Program, it is best to sign up for a GPTCO program, because that is the most effective and works the best, hands down.
